Anyone know of any credit cards you can apply for with little or bad credit. Please none from HSBC bank.?
I’m looking for a credit card I can get. I guess either my credit is bad or I don’t really have much credit. I already tried for ones from HSBC Nevada bank. Any others I can try for. I really need to get my car fixed and a credit card would help. I can pay it off @ tax time, and keep it for emergency.
Here’s the problem, most credit cards for little or bad credit either are secured cards (which aren’t a bad thing), or they’re backloaded with all types of fees that are charged well before you even receive the card. Orchard Bank, (HSBC) ironically deals with people that are trying to either build or rebuild their credit. If you’re wanting an unsecured card, then this would be your best option. The next best option would be with Bank of America, they offer 2 types of secured cards. One that’s fully secured which you would have to put a deposit upfront in order to determine your credit line, and they also offer a $99/$500 secured card in which you put up $99 and you may be eligible for a $500 limit. Prepaid cards are really no more than bank issued debit cards. First Premier, New Millenium, and Tribute all offer unsecured cards, but they’re loaded with fees that eat up the available credit on the card before you get them like I mentioned earlier.
It’s tough finding a card when your credit isn’t that great, or you don’t have any credit to start with. What I would do in your situation would be to start putting back money in savings to fix your car, and try a secured card. This way, you don’t have to go into extra debt trying to fix your car, and you can custom build a credit card by going the secured route.
