I want to apply for a Credit Card but I really don’t want to do it online, I’m afraid of someone hacking and getting my information. How can I have applications to various Credit Cards mailed directly to my house?
You can call up the bank you want to apply for and they should send you an application.
Just for your consideration and something to think about. When you apply on-line there is no human interaction as it goes directly into their system. There is a chance that your information is “hacked” in transit but the chances are extremely slim(actually almost nonexistent). When you hear of a company getting “hacked” it is from the system where all of the information is stored, not from the time when a person is entering the information.
Now, when you get an application mailed. You return the application that has all of your personal information through the mail. During this time it has the opportunity to be stolen in transit. Anywhere from the mailbox you drop it in, to the many trucks that transport it to the credit card company. But the end result is the same once it arrives at the credit card processing center a person physically puts it into the same system that you would have entered it if on-line. While the chances that your information could be stolen this way is still small it is greater than if you enter it on-line.
