who owns the credit card companies like visa, mastercard, discover?
who are the head people that make money off of these credit card
Visa and Mastercard are simply licensed networks that the banks use to issue credit cards. While Visa & M/C corporations do make money off the use of these cards, they are not the ones issuing them or earning the interest.
However, Discover and American Express do issue their own credit lines and make money off of both the use fees that are charged to merchants and any interest or other fees charged to the consumer.
